ABOUT OUR BUSINESS:
Horn’s is a bar and restaurant located on Main Street, serving lunch and dinner with evening entertainment. Lunch items include selections of appetizers, sandwiches, soups and salads. Dinner features Southwestern/Mexican and American fare. The pace of the job is fast with high volume during the height of the season. The business is 70 plus years old with seating for 125 with a 20 seat bar, turn of century interior with tin ceiling and large old back bar.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE
Positions available for 2024 with starting wage:
- Cooks: starting wage $15.00
- Dining Room Attendants: starting wage $12.91
- Housekeepers: starting wage $14.50
- Kitchen helpers: starting wage $13.50
- Prep Cooks: starting wage $14.00
- Short Order Cooks: starting wage $14.91
- Wait Staff: $3.93 plus tips to equal
- The hourly waitstaff wage is $3.93 an hour, this equates to the State of Michigan minimum wage of $10.33 per hour that includes tips
DATES OF EMPLOYMENT
For students work dates will vary depending on your school break schedule. Dates of employment are April 1 through November 6, 2024.
All jobs are full-time, typically forty hours per week, five days per week, overtime as business demands.
HOUSING
We provide housing if needed. No Pets. Located in various areas around town, either in an apartment or house setting.
All require sharing a bedroom with a fellow staff person, exception for managers.
Each housing unit is fully furnished – full living room, internet and cable and laundry facilities, and each unit has a full kitchen stocked with all necessary items, including a microwave, a range, and a refrigerator.
Rent ranges from $440.00 to $550.00 per month.
